Awkwafina Awkwafina, an American singer and actress began by releasing a humorous rap track that dealt with issues of sexual and race. Her career expanded to Hollywood following the release of an album of raps. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese as well as Korean parents in Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was her first instrument.
