Awkwafina Awkwafina, an American singer and actress began by releasing a humorous rap track that dealt with issues of sexual and race. Her career expanded to Hollywood following the release of an album of raps. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese as well as Korean parents in Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was her first instrument. She also received Jazz and classical training before when she began to explore hip-hop as a teenager. After concentrating on education, she earned the degree of journalist in college and a women's studies major. The focus changed towards music after she finished her studies. In 2012, My Vag (as a retort to Mickey Avalon's My Dick) became an online hit, and it was featured on her debut album Yellow Ranger. The other viral hit songs included queef, a body positive song and the winking NYC Bitche$ hometown tour. The track that was the last one to be connected directly to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was published in 2015. A musician and author was on her resume she set her sights on a third endeavor actor. Alongside early TV shows like Girl Code and Tawk - she appeared in the movies Neighbors 2 Storks & Bad Rap. In the year 2018, she was offered several breakthrough roles, such as Dude Ocean's 8, or Crazy Rich Asians. In June, she debuted her new EP "In Fina We Trust".
