Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is an American actor and producer who is best known for the roles she played on the television series Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and the television show The Mentalist. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in African-American Studies at Brown University as well as a Masters in Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School for the Art New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis, a writer and American actress active in theatre, television and film. She began acting on stage before appearing in independent, mainstream and television series. She was known for appearing as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's huge The Book of Negroes. The two series garnered critical acclaim, but she also took home a variety of prizes. Her professional acting debut as Ariel as Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. On Broadway she was a part of the cast on stage in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. She is most well-known for her role in the series Men of Honor as well as The Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. Her role as a regular in ABC's drama police series High Incident earned her praises.
