Linda Edna Cardellini was born in Redwood City, California, to Lorraine (Hernan) and Wayne David Cardellini, a businessman. Her parents are of Italian (from her maternal grandfather), Irish (from her mother), German, English, and Scottish descent. Linda was raised living in her native San Francisco Bay area, California and was the eldest of four kids. As a teenager her interest in the acting world when she performed in a school Christmas play. Her school productions included plays as well as local community theater. Linda attended Saint Francis High School Mountain View California. Her choice was from New York for theater and Los Angeles for film and TV when she finished her studies. When she graduated, she had to make a decision on whether to pursue a career in film or television in Los Angeles. Linda was cast in her first role, in the show Bone Chillers (1996). She played Lindsay Weir, a decathlete who was enrolled at the California University.

Lily James was born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson (5 April 1989). She is an English actor. Her acting debut was in the show Just William in 2010, which was a British TV show. Her breakthrough came in 2015 when she played the leading role in Cinderella, a fantasy film. The actress previously appeared as Lady Rose MacClare as part of the period show Downton Abbey. James then played the Countess Natasha Rostova on the TV version of War & Peace in 2016. James has appeared in numerous films such as Baby Driver (2017) and period dramas Darkest Hour (2017) and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society 2018, and The Dig 2021, as well as the musicals Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (2018) and Yesterday (2019). Pam & Tommy, a biographical series on television based upon the life of Pamela Anderson (released in 2022) was nominated for Golden Globe Award winner and the Primetime Emmy Award.
