
Sara Aliza Eisen, an American television journalist, is currently a part with CNBC. She serves as anchor of the channel's shows 'Squawk on the street as well as 'Closing bell'. She is an Ohio native, and was not interested in currencies or markets during her time in college. While she was studying at New York University, she was a part-time intern at the start-up site ForexTV.com. It was there that she garnered her first experience with business news. She later earned an advanced degree in broadcast journalism from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Then, she took on an internship for four months with Bloomberg TV in Hong Kong. After she returned to US, she began to work in Bloomberg's office in New York. She became a television anchor eventually. CNBC hired her as a reporter in December 2013. She was co-anchor on 'Worldwide Exchange and 'Power Lunch', before landing the position on 'Closing Bell' in the year. Eisen is also a co-anchor of 'Squawk on the Street since the year 2014. Her primary focus since joining CNBC is global consumer news.
